About this forum

Muscle Car Owners Forum opened in November 2025, the week most of the cars in the northern half of the country went under a cover, which is when people have the most time to type about them.

Muscle cars here means the modern ones, Challenger and Charger R/T, Scat Pack and Hellcat, Mustang GT and Mach 1, Camaro SS, 1LE and ZL1, and the old ones too. Somebody with a numbers matching 1970 GTO and somebody with a 2021 Scat Pack on a 72 month loan get the same answers and the same patience.

It is run by Dawn P., who posts as mod_dawn_p. Dawn taught automotive technology at a high school in Lincoln, Nebraska for 24 years and retired in 2023. She bought her 1971 Chevelle Malibu in 1994 for $3,800 with a cracked block, and a class of juniors helped her put a 350 and a Muncie four speed back in it the following spring. She reads the contact mailbox herself, usually in the evening, and she is slow about it in May when the car comes out.

What it costs

About ten dollars a month for the server and twelve a year for the domain. Dawn pays both. There is no advertising on any page, no affiliate codes in any link, and nobody has paid to start a thread or to be mentioned in one. If any of that ever changes it will be written here first.

House rules

  • Year, model, engine and transmission in your first line. A 2017 R/T with the six speed and a 2017 R/T with the 8-speed are different cars when the question is about launching or the clutch.
  • Buying threads get the numbers. What you paid, what it cost to get it home, what you found in the first month.
  • No selling in threads. There is no classifieds board, on purpose.
  • No street racing videos and no emissions delete talk. Track numbers are welcome and so is tuning that keeps the car legal where you live.
  • If you work for a dealer, a lender, an auction, an insurer or a transport company, say so in the post where it matters.
  • Ford, Chevy and Mopar people share three boards. Rib each other, fine. Run somebody off, not fine.
  • Mods move posts to the right board and leave a note. Locks are rare and come with a reason written in the thread.

What this is not

Not a dealer, not a broker and not the factory service manual. A torque spec or a tire pressure from a stranger on a forum is a starting point. Check it against the book for your own car.
