morning. this is the new place. it is for muscle cars, old and new, and i am not going to draw the line with a ruler. if it has a V8 and two doors, or four doors and a Hemi, or it is a Mustang EcoBoost and you are honest about it, sit down.
three boards and that is all there will be for a while. Muscle car talk is the car: storage, tires, paint, trim levels, the window sticker in the glovebox. Engines, tuning and track is everything with a wrench or a timeslip attached. Buying and auctions is money: the price, the seller, the paperwork, and what the insurance company said when you called.
i taught auto tech to high school kids for 24 years and the thing i said most was "what engine, what transmission." so that is rule one. year, model, engine, trans, first line. a 2019 Camaro SS with the 10 speed and one with the six speed are two different conversations.
rule two, no street racing video. i have buried one former student over that and i am not hosting it. take it to a test and tune night. rule three, anybody employed by a dealer, a lender, an auction outfit or an insurance company mentions it in the post where it matters. the rest is on the about page.
new accounts come through the mod mailbox until the spam bots get bored. tell me what you drive and roughly where it lives. dawn

in from Bakersfield. one ask. can the track board have a rule that timeslips get posted whole? every forum i read people say "ran a 12" and leave out the 60 foot and the mph and the weather, and those are the only parts that tell you anything.
also glad about the street racing rule. Famoso is twenty minutes from my house and it is still empty some fridays.

added to the rules page. whole slip or it did not happen. reaction time, 60 foot, eighth mile, quarter, mph, and the air temp if you know it.
we passed fifty accounts last night. i had told my husband ten, maybe twelve, by christmas. a couple of you turn wrenches at dealers and one of you sent me a photo of a 1970 fender tag before he even told me his name, so i think the answers in here are going to be better than the site deserves this early.
one more thing since half of you just put your car away. if you bought something this fall and you have questions about what you actually got, the buying board is the place. bring the VIN, it saves everybody a round of questions.
